On May 28, 2025, we marked the 16th anniversary of the fire at the former Productos Jumbofactory with an evacuation drill at our current facilities.
The fire occurred on May 28, 2009, at approximately 1:00 p.m., when a spark landed in a container of thinner and started a fire that destroyed much of the manufacturing area within two hours.
Although the event is in the past, it remains part of our organization's collective memory and a lasting reminder of the importance of prevention, training and timely emergency response.
Over the years, Productos Jumbo has strengthened its civil protection procedures and built a strong culture of safety among its employees. This drill reflects our ongoing commitment to the well-being of everyone who works here.
